HEY HEY HEY!

what's going on folks? -- anyone going to the furthur show NYE in SF?

i haven't seen a dead show since 1994.... i figured NYE was as good a time as any to go see the boys again.... they played the Paramount in oakland a couple months ago but the only reason i knew was because i was driving by! on a lark me and my GF parked and walked around in hopes of finding a miracle.

no such luck.

Actually, the band played @ the new oaksterdam fox theater. If you make it to BGC for NYE and head down to the embarcadero wear your hardhat.

Short answer is no. But glad to see you around, your visits have been quite infrequent during the last few months.

what;s up elbow....

yea ok, "the boys" -- really though -- i am only a little enthusiastic and saying "going to see the boys" is what it is.

i figured it was safe to assume everyone on this forum page would not take this expression as a connection to the "actual" Grateful Dead -- forget i said it...

i am gonna go check out Phil Lesh and Bob Weir from the Grateful Dead in their latest Jerry Garcia Tribute Band -- they call it Furthur and apparently there is a guitarist in the band who people call "fake Jerry" === i think he was in that other Jerry Garcia Tribute Band, The Dark Star Orchestra who i have never seen but i hear they do a really great job at faking up some GD music.....

blahblahblah -- is anyone going or not? rasta? elbow? is bluedevil still around?

Alive and counted for! I think the above may have me headed to Poofters' Froth, Wyoming.

As I told Rasta, I may be lurking.... If the Roots fail to move me, I'll walk up the block...

what up BD! good to see you are still around.... well, i havent figured out why you are going to wyoming yet, but that sounds like it would be the better deal.... at least in terms of seeing some nature or whatnot....

and to yur werstenemy.... that looks interesting -- but ozomatli are a quality band but they have never stuck with me -- are any of those other acts good? bassnectar sounds familiar, but i havent heard of the rest...

happy NYE etc to all of you all, whatever you do or don't do.

I was making fun of the dead store; ozomatli is good, but i agree that they don't rock my world. I know people that really like ghostland, but it leaves me cold. chemcials and lights can move a lot of folks though

Enjoy Furthur - it won't be what it was, but what is what is was? What it is is what it is

I encourage your enthusiasm, but I would hardly call seeing Phil and bob as "going to see the boys".

Just like the old joke of the next album will be called "The Monkee". Different group-same scenario.
